HP University Business School awarded Most Promising B-School North India

HP University Business School, Shimla, popularly known as HPUBS Shimla, has been awarded the “Most Promising Business School of North India” at Asia Education Summit & Awards, New Delhi. The event was organized by Worldwide Achievers in association with India Today.

Prof. Shyam Lal Kaushal, Director of HP University Business School, Shimla received the award on behalf of the institution from Mr. Upender Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India at Hotel Hyatt, New Delhi on 9th March 2017.

Number One Business school of Himachal Pradesh, HPUBS Shimla is the oldest premier institution of Business and Management studies established way back in 1971. Formerly known as Institute of Management Studies, HPUBS products today hold top positions in various government and private sector organisations. To name a few distinguished alumnus:

It is not the first time that HPUBS has been awarded with such a prestigious award. For the past two years in continuation, HPUBS has been awarded as the “Outstanding B-School North” at National Education Awards by ABP News group. HPUBS is the first business of Himachal Pradesh to have a mobile application of its own. The mobile application, launched last year, had also been developed by the students of the institute.

HPUBS Shimla has been offering Masters and Doctorate courses in Business and Management since 1971. Being a premier institution, the admissions are done on merit-basis based on HPUMAT entrance examination conducted in the months of April-May every year. The B-School admits 120 students (60 in subsidized and 60 in non-subsidized category). Presently as many as 15-20 foreign students (mainly from Afghanistan) are also studying at HPUBS.
